KSDK -- Hundreds of Teamsters rallied Saturday afternoon to show solidarity in preparation for contract negotiations with Anheuser-Busch InBev.

Saturday's rally at Keiner Plaza was co-sponsored by Missouri Jobs With Justice. Other unions also showed their support.

Dan McKay is Teamsters Joint Council President. "The Teamsters are going to set the standards for negotiations in the future. All I can say is we're going to get a contract, we're going to get a good contract and in the future the rest of the trades will follow suit."

Other speakers included union leaders from Belgium, Brazil and Canada, where they already have experience negotiating with InBev in their countries.

Craig McInness is a Canadian Teamster. "I just negotiated a collective agreement with those people in a little brewery in Hamilton. It was tough negotiations."

The Teamster's national contract at all 12 U.S. based breweries expires in a few months. Negotiations will start on Monday in Cinncinnati.
